Mel's Corner @ Section 17 PJ

My blog resumes after CNY... lol!!! No time to write anything... as I online during my work time. Anyway, it seems that everyone is pressured to think of Valentine's venue which is so darn near to CNY... below is unrelated post about Valentine's ok??

Sometimes I would bring Jenn to the morning market in this area. Before that, we would look for a place for breakfast nearby. Coincidently, I parked my car beside this restaurant and therefore, decided to give it a try. I remembered reading masak-masak's blog about the curry mee and iced cham here... and her review was good. From the outside, Mel's Corner looks like just another typical hawker stall's type of restaurant.

There are quite a lot of food selection here - curry mee, wantan mee, economy rice, fried koay teow, etc...

The Wantan mee and curry mee stalls are located almost at the end of the restaurant... next to each other

I had the wantan mee... the char siew was good & tender, but of course... nothing compared to meng kee. The mee was nicely done... not too hard nor soft. The chilly completed the whole dish.

Curry mee - the broth was slightly sour but tasted good. Hainanese style chicken and taufu pok were included...

Iced cham - the cham had a strong taste... and you can still see the foam on top even after you finish your meal. I love it!

Leo's verdict - The prices are reasonable, given that this area is predominantly students. It's not too hot and has quite a big space.

we love the charsiew wantan mee here too, when we can't be asked to go so far as Taman Cheras! Good choice:D
