Kluang Station @ Ikano Power Centre, Mutiara Damansara

OK... so this place has been around for a very long time. With branches in 1Utama, Desa Parkcity, etc... this kopitiam from Kluang (duh!) is one of the popular hangouts among kl-ites. Originated from a small town in Johor, they decided to set up business in this metropolitan area due to its huge population catch.

Their rather big 2 pages menu

They styled the entire outlet like a train station

They came up with new dishes occasionally, as shown in this board placed in front of the outlet and cashier

What I like about this kopitiam is that their coffee and tea have a very strong taste. This time I had their tea @ RM2.60... still piping hot and freshly brewed. I like it as it was not too sweet.

Hainanese chicken chop @ RM11.90 - it used to be RM2.00 cheaper than the current price but I guess the cost have skyrocketted. It comes with a big piece of chicken leg and topped with sweet sauce. Other side dishes include green peas, baked beans, sliced mushroom and french fries. Apart from the conventional one that I had in my hometown, this dish is as good as it gets in KL...

Sambal fried rice & drummets @ RM8.90 - the fried rice was decent with 2 chicken drummets and fried egg. Nothing to shout of!

Leo's verdict - A lot of new additions such as mee hailam, fried fish porridge and mee goreng. Most of the time, I only stopped by for their chicken chop, toasted bun and tea/coffee only. I heard that their nasi lemak is quite OK.
